App + WhatsApp
One brain, two places
The app and the WhatsApp number are the same service. Connect them once and they become one account: the same reminders, the same lists and notes, the same memory of you — and every reminder reaches you on both.
How to connect them
- Open the app at app.my2ndbrain.in (or from your home screen) and open the menu (☰).
- Tap WhatsApp, then Connect WhatsApp. A six-digit code appears.
- Tap Open WhatsApp and send it. WhatsApp opens on the my 2nd brain chat with the code already typed. Send it.
- Both sides confirm within a few seconds. In the app, the WhatsApp row now says Connected.
The code lasts 15 minutes and works once. If it expires, tap Connect again for a fresh one.
What changes once they’re connected
- Talk from either. A message on WhatsApp is understood with everything you’ve said in the app, and the other way round. The reply comes back on the one you used.
- Reminders come to both. A push notification in the app and a WhatsApp message, at the same moment. Use whichever you see first; there is nothing to acknowledge.
- Everything you’d already saved is kept. Reminders set on WhatsApp before connecting move into the account. Nothing is lost or duplicated.
- One delete. Delete my data in the app, or DELETE MY DATA on WhatsApp, erases the account on both.
Things worth knowing
- Does the order matter?
- No. Start on WhatsApp and add the app later, or the reverse. The code always comes from the app.
- Can I connect two phones’ apps to one WhatsApp number?
- Use the recovery code in the app menu instead: it restores the same app account on another phone.
- Can I disconnect them?
- Yes, from either side. In the app: menu → WhatsApp → Disconnect. On WhatsApp: send DISCONNECT. Everything stays with the app account; the WhatsApp number starts fresh and empty. Reminders stop arriving on WhatsApp from that moment. Connect again any time with a new code.
- Is my number shared with the app, or the app’s code with WhatsApp?
- No. The link lives on our side only. Neither surface shows the other’s identifier beyond “Connected”.
