Deleting your data
Last updated [DATE]
You can have everything we hold about you erased. There is no form to fill in and no reason to give.
The quickest way
Message DELETE MY DATA to our WhatsApp number. We will ask you to confirm once — because it cannot be undone — and then erase it.
By email
Write to privacy@my2ndbrain.in from any address, telling us the WhatsApp number to delete. We will send a confirmation code to that number on WhatsApp, so that nobody can delete someone else’s account.
What gets erased
- Your account and phone number
- Every reminder, past and scheduled
- Contacts you saved with us
- Your profile name and time zone
What we have to keep, and for how long
Two things survive deletion, and only these:
- Consent records — the fact that a number agreed to receive messages, kept for [e.g. 24 months]. We are required to be able to demonstrate that a person consented. This record holds the number and the date, not your reminders.
- Payment and tax records — kept for as long as Indian tax law requires. These hold transaction amounts and dates, not the content of your reminders.
How long it takes
Your account stops working immediately and no further reminders are sent. Erasure from our live systems completes within [e.g. 7 days], and from encrypted backups within [e.g. 30 days] as those backups expire.
If you only want the messages to stop
Reply STOP instead. That cancels every reminder immediately but keeps your account, so you can pick it up again later.
Something not right?
If a deletion request is not honoured, contact our Grievance Officer — details on the contact page — and then, if still unresolved, the Data Protection Board of India.
